New York City Relief

Last September Ken and I went with 4-H.I.M. to NY and served with New York City Relief. It was a huge blessing to get to love and serve the people of NY and NJ. This week Ken and I are going back to NY on an exploratory trip. We are believing God has a plan to start a similar ministry in OKC. This is a God sized vision. I look forward to seeing it materialize.

Nature Class

My kids are so blessed to have Aunt Amy teaching them nature and art. They are learning so many things from their aunts. Here is a picture of a Monarch crystallise. Very beautiful.

The kids found this so interesting.

Yummmmmm!

We made some more yummy food for our families in cooking class. Madison, Beth, Hallie, and Draden enjoyed learning about the different food groups and the food pyramid. Here they are showing off their chicken pot pies.

We also made monster M&M cookies!

Hiding Spot

This was just too funny to pass up. The kids played hide and seek while the Mystery Cake cooked. Hallie loves this game. She is always trying to come up with new places to hide. Here is her newest spot, but don't tell her I told you. I may be in trouble for giving away one of her secret locations. Shhhhhhhhh...

Cooking Class

Madison and Draden spent the day at our house. What a full day it was too! The kids had a picnic lunch in the living room. The weather didn't cooperate for an outside picnic. I heard so much laughing that I don't think they noticed.

Here the kids are getting ready to make dinner for their families. Lasagna Yummmm!

We also made Mystery Cake for dessert. Draden and Madison each took theirs home, but we all sampled Beth and Hallie's cake. Much to our surprise we all liked it. When you see the kids ask them what the "Mystery" ingredient is. We are going to do cooking class at the Jenkins' abode every other week. Now to figure out how to top Mystery Cake...

First Day of Gymnastics

Today was the first day of fall gymnastics for Beth and Hallie. They are so excited to be back. I was very hesitant to move them up to the intermediate class, but the director insisted they were ready. She was right. I'm so glad I listened to her. Beth was put into the most advanced group and she did just fine. Hallie has no fear, so she did great too. Beth said her goal for this year is to do a back hand-spring without a spot. I'm sure she can reach her goal.
